Hello Below the Bible Belt Readers -
Thank you for joining me ten days ago to ״Meet the Mavens” at our zoom conversation, with a deep dive into chapter 8 of Nehemiah, feautring Ezra’s revolution of ritual literacy at the city’s watergate.
It was a great conversation - and we are glad to share the recording with you all. Enjoy.
We have 3 zoom conversations left before we wrap up the journey. Scroll down for the dates.
There will also be one more bonus zoom conversation, in August, to invite you all to think aloud with me on what may be meaningful and interesting for you — beyond this biblical blog.
Stay tuned for that invitation.
Please also note that even though the last zoom was open to all - the next few zoom conversations will welcome Paid Subscribers - with gratitude for your support.
We’ll send a reminder with the Zoom link a day before the next conversation.
Can’t join the zoom or upgrade to paid subscription status?
No problem. A recording of the session will be shared with all subscribers during the following week.
Please consider joining today or invite a friend to become a Paid Subscriber - as a way to honor this work -
Which will likely continue beyond August!
There are several options to become a Paid Subscriber - everybody friendly. Thank you!
Wishing us a good week, meaningful Shavuot holiday, healing and hope, justice and peace, for all.
Amichai
Save the date for future zooms:

Amichai I am so sorry I missed this presentation on zoom but I am so touched by your interpretation as I have been by every presentation of Ezra-Nenimiah. It is the old saying “ Save the Best for Last” that I hear. This chapter creates the quilt that we lie under, that we can add to, where we can look for
Patterns, where we receive comfort, where we can grow.
Where all pieces come together as we do in community.
Nancy got the last comment and I as NancyHannah also hear the drama the possibility of the Torah presentation!
From one maven to all the others here in 929 and Below the Bible Belt and in their own congregations with their own rabbis, with their own va’d. I am indeed grateful filled with inspiration.
My blessings to all of you here from one open heart to another.
