I love this subtle snail trail between the psalms and Issa's haiku (I have long thought that Snail is my daimon à la Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' series.) (And here is a page that includes the Japanese characters & transliteration of the haiku : http://www.carlsensei.com/classical/index.php/text/view/167 )

It reminds of what Deena Metzger wrote, now a long while ago, still true -

"There are those who are trying to set fire to the world,

we are in danger,

there is time only to work slowly,

there is no time not to love."

Thanks and love, shavua tov 🙏

I hope you know what a gift this Below The Bible Belt project is. I've shared so many of these daily entries with other family and friends who've found meaning, comfort and challenge in them. Thank you for putting it out into the world.
