I have a sense that Jeremiah as a figure is closest to Job. I can't quite put my finger on what makes me want to put t he two of them in the same sentence, but I think it is my sense as a reader of seeing a kind of god-suffering that gets to some difficult, even ugly aspect of the construction of the deity in this phase of its development. Any thoughts about this?
PS For me the 5 PM is not happy hour but dinner hour, but glad for others if it allows more attendance.
