Love this, and love the very various translations of the final seven words, but especially yours!

Thank you so much for this insightful journey through Job! I am now really looking forward to exploring the Song of Songs with you. Rarely have I felt more in need of a reminder of what makes life beautiful! Another worthwhile beauty break for folks around the NYC area would be the Caspar David Friedrich exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum, if you can snag a ticket. My first encounter with great art in the Hamburger Kunsthalle at age six or thereabouts. More than half a century later, it hasn't worn off.

Well that was a rather unsatisfying ending to this saga. Interesting that G-d doesn't tell Job about his bet with Satan at the beginning of the book, but that we the reader's know about this.

And intriguing about his daughter's being named and not his sons! How refreshing!

It's a very strange book. And the whole chapter about the Leviathan was very hard to understand. I'm left not knowing what to make of it all. But thank you for guiding us on this strange and beautiful journey!

It IS a strange book and I'm glad to have read it together, big beasts and all. I feel that the end wraps it all -- how we show up to each other and with each other at times of need is what matters most. Thank you for reading, showing up and thinking aloud --
